Is she; is he the one?
Does she help you reach the heights that God Intended?
Does he make you feel as though your lives are blended?
Is she; is he the one?

Is he; is she the one?
Does he open your heart to new and wonderful possibilities?
Does she give a lift to your hopes; your dreams and your abilities?
Is he; is she the one?

Is she; is he the one?
Does she remind you that love's a marathon and not a sprint?
Does he support the purpose for which your life was meant?
Is she; is he the one?

Prepared to be blessed; if you can answer yes, to is she; is he the one
And through the thin & the thick; you'll understand God's arithmetic: when one plus one equals one!

This was written in one of my more poetic moods (some may silly). It is an attempt, in rhyme, to explain both the relationship I share with my wife Lisa Marie and the criteria I think we should use in our search for.. the one.

Edward-I love it! I especially love this line: "Does she help you reach the heights that God Intended?" I think we often forget this one! Thanks so much for sharing your "silly" mood! Thanks for commenting Laura! It is the measuring stick that I told all my children should use: does he or she help you to become that God meant you to be? I appreciate your kind comments Laura.
Edward, silly (which I'd never use/associate with) or not, this was wonderful. An eye-opener for the heart. Thanks for sharing your poetic side with us.Thanks Sistah! I ALWAYS appreciate your kind words. Thanks again for posting! No, it's my pleasure, Edward (smile).
My dear Brother, pertinent questions to ponder before the "I do's" are spoken, for sure! I'm sticking to the verse that says, "a man who findeth a wife finds a good thing." In other words, I'm not looking. He'll be God-sent or not. Either way, I'm at peace. I'll make sure to pass this along. Very nicely written. I found nothing silly about it. I even enjoyed your graphics to support your thoughts. :)
Blessed regards,
